About the unit
We do things differently, we do things bigger, and we certainly do things better!
We’ve been leading the way in Explorer and Network Scouting since 1967, and we’re proud of where we’ve come from. Things have changed a lot since then, but we’re more active than ever.
Maybe it’s the Thursday night programmes every week of the year, or the numerous residential camps each year; both in the UK and abroad, or the internationally recognised awards we run, including the Duke of Edinburgh, that makes us so popular and successful.
This is what we started
our upcoming programme

There are some fantastic organisations out there that have donated their services, time and products to help develop Woodseats Explorers. A massive thank you goes to:
Technology is crucial for the day to day running of the Unit, as well as to administer the Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Scout Awards. Plusnet are kindly installing a phone line, and providing us with Fibre broadband, enabling us to provide even more adventures.
We’re proud of who we are, and what we do, and we’d like everyone to know that. That’s why FastSigns have kindly donated a substantial discount for a fantastic new sign on the front of our building. You can’t miss us now…
